Got back from Davis yesterday and it is NOT POSSIBLE to believe how HOT it is there. I like it, though. :) I got lost on campus pretty early -- I took a wrong turn somewhere and had to backtrack for ten minutes -- but! I learned something from that, these being that 1) I cannot read maps and 2) if I get lost, I generally remember how to get back to that place successfully the next time around. Puaha. I am not hopeless, after all.

The second night, my roommate and I just kinda wandered around downtown before stopping for ice cream. Davis is the epitome of a college town. We saw only one or two people over the age of thirty, and there was no one under fifteen (nevermind the flood of eight-year-olds running around on the lawn when Lenny picked me up). Aaannndd it is so cool because there are bookstores EVERYWHERE and my inner/outer geek is like :DDD and I can probably spend my entire college life reading without being disturbed because, you know, I'm an English major and we're all beyond hope.

Plus, I saw cows this time. And horses. And apparently, there's a donkey and/or a llama at a...what? Petting zoo? Lenny and Ray (I think I spelled his name wrong >>;) were kind of vague about that; they couldn't decide what animal it was. Maybe it was a sheep. Hm.
